Immerse yourself in the fascinating underground history of Antwerp.

Our virtual guide Pieter Embrechts leads you, together with an enthusiastic member of staff, into the furthest corners of the underground canal system. While you walk with a tablet through the semi-darkness along covered canals, moats and locks, the medieval vaults reveal their secrets step by step.

Price? 

€19 per person for +16 year olds, €12 for 10-16 year olds

Do you have an Antwerp City Pass? Then you are entitled to a free ticket.* Please send an email in advance to reservaties@deruien.be so we can keep places free.

Number of participants?

There is a maximum of 15 places per time slot. So be there on time!


When? 

You can book an interactive walk with tablet from Tuesday to Sunday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Duration of the visit? 

90 minutes.

For whom? 

Anyone from 10 years onwards who is up for a tough and sometimes muddy walk.

Where and how? 

The visit starts at the Ruihuis, Suikerrui 21, 2000 Antwerp, and ends at the Stadsmagazijn, Keistraat 5, 2000 Antwerp

For the descent to The Ruien , visitors will receive a protective suit, boots and a backpack to store shoes and other personal items during the walk. No possessions can be left behind on the spot.
