Children under 10 years of age cannot participate in the Rain Walk due to safety regulations. The organization will always deny visitors under 10 years of age access to the Rain Walk, without the right to compensation of tickets.
Due to safety regulations, we do not recommend the Rain Walk to persons with limited vision and/or mobility. The organization is not liable for accidents that happen without entitlement to compensation of tickets.
Pets, guide dogs, baby carriages, walkers, wheelchairs, etc. cannot join the tour of The Ruien. The organization will always -must- deny access to The Ruien walk, without the right to compensation of tickets.
The organization reserves the right to refuse large backpacks during the tour of The Ruien, without entitlement to compensation of tickets.
The organisation will always deny access to persons under the influence, without the right to compensation of the tickets.
The organisation is not liable for accidents, damage and/or theft of equipment and clothing during the tour.
Persons who do not follow the safety instructions of guide or attendant and/or endanger the group will be refused (further) admission to the Ruien walks without entitlement to compensation of tickets.
Each visitor will receive a backpack, boots, helmet and protective pants from the organization. The backpack, boots and helmet are on loan and will be returned at the end of the hike. The protective pants the visitor may keep, if desired.
For the interactive walk with tablet, the organization provides a tablet on loan. At the end of the visit, it is returned to the organization.
Photography in The Ruien is not recommended for safety reasons. Photographers can contact the reception desk of The Ruien House, Suikerrui 21 - Antwerp for a customized tour.
Photos and videos shared by the visitor may be shared further by the organisation on the organisation's social media, mentioning the photographer.
After the visitor's consent, the organisation may take photos during a visit and post them online on The Ruien's social media channels.
The audiovisual content on the tablets is protected by copyright. Reproduction in the form of photographs or film is prohibited.
The payment
All visits must be paid in advance;
Individual tickets can be purchased until shortly before the start of the visit.
Group tickets must be paid at least 15 days before date of visit. Later payments will not be accepted and the visit will not be scheduled.
Tickets for the School Visits formula must be paid at least 21 days before date of visit. Later payments will not be accepted and the visit will not be scheduled.
All payments go through noreply@mollie.com, our payment partner Mollie.
Payments on invoice are not possible.

Our Terms and Conditions apply to all visitation arrangements at The Ruien.
By purchasing the ticket, the visitor automatically agrees to our General Terms and Conditions and undertakes to abide by them.
Deviations from our General Terms and Conditions are not possible.
Tickets are temporarily reserved at the time you place an order and will not be shipped until receipt of proper payment.
Prices in effect at the time of reservation apply.
All prices listed include the legally provided VAT (6%).
If payment is not made according to the specified instructions from our payment partner Mollie, the reservation will be automatically deleted and the tickets will be automatically released back for sale.
In case of an incorrect payment, the applicant will receive a cancellation email and should - if necessary - make a new reservation . The amount paid will automatically be transferred back to the applicant's account by Mollie.
After the expiration date of the Mollie payment link, it will no longer be linked to a reservation. The amount paid is automatically returned to the applicant's account by Mollie.
After proper payment, tickets will be emailed to the email address provided in the order.
Cancel
Cancellation by visitor: Individual tickets - The organization offers rebooking (free of charge) only if the tickets are resold get there. Group tickets - The organization offers rebooking only;
At an administrative cost of 15.00 for cancellations more than 8 weeks before the visit
At a flat fee of 95.00/group for cancellations tem 21 days before the visit and only if the time slot becomes re-sold.
Cancellation by the organization:
1. The organization reserves the right to cancel visits due to safety reasons, works, force majeure,... The organization is not liable and does not have to provide evidence of force majeure that delays or prevents the implementation of visits.
Individual tickets will be rebooked free of charge to a new date of your choice (subject to availability)
Group tickets (day visit, nocturne, combi walk and school visit with guide) will be converted to the above-ground walk where part of The Ruien will still be visited whenever possible. Only if the above-ground walk proves impossible, the group ticket will be rebooked free of charge to a new date (subject to availability).
2. The organization reserves the right to cancel combi walks (individual tickets), in case of less than 3 tickets sold. The organization is not liable and does not have to provide proof of force majeure preventing the execution of the visits. In this particular case, the visitors will be informed of the cancellation by e-mail (sent to the e-mail address provided in the order) at least 24 hours before the visit. Individual tickets will be rebooked free of charge to a new date of choice (subject to availability) or refunded. The amount paid will then be refunded to the applicant's account by the organization.
